hsCRP Test for Inflammation Marker
About This Test
C-reactive protein (CRP), synthesized in the liver, escalates in response to injury, infection, and inflammation. Following severe events, CRP levels can surge considerably, facilitating diagnosis and inflammation monitoring. The high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) test identifies subtle yet sustained inflammation, possibly associated with cardiovascular disease development. An atypical hs-CRP result might prompt further assessments to comprehensively evaluate an individual's risk profile to help further assess your wellness
