How This Test Is Performed
Sample collection will involve obtaining a blood sample through venipuncture, where a needle is used to draw blood from a vein. A Urine sample will also be obtained in a sterile cup
Preparing for Your Test
There's no need for any specific preparations before the sample collection. Fasting is not required for this test. If initial syphilis or HIV results are abnormal, confirmation testing is performed on the sample you have already provided, as required by standard diagnostic guidelines.
